Apples are available all year. We handle most popular varieties as listed below. Supply volumes are always subject to seasonal variations but because we source from all around Australia those variations are minimal. Honey Pears are the Registered Trademark of the Apted Family who are fourth generation Apple and Pear Growers. The Honey Pear is a table pear sold in a lidded 4 kg nett Tray.
William Bon Criton - (Late January - early February) Normally sold "off the tree" as opposed to long term storage. The "Selling window" is normally 4-6 weeks.
Howell - (Mid - Late March) Another early season green pear which . This variety is more oval than Pear shaped and is similar to the Josephine in general appearance.

Stone Fruit

The season for Stonefruit extends between mid October to April with produce being sourced from Queensland right down the East Coast to Tasmania at the latter end of the season. We range through Peaches and nectarines (white and Yellow flesh) and the Zee Sweet line of sub acids.

Westmores are one of the Grower nominated Zee Sweet Agents in the Melbourne Market. The range of cultivars in Stone Fruit is extensive. The varieties depicted are examples of what standard can be expected.

Other Lines
Passion Fruit (Qld), Custard Apples (Qld&NSW) Chestnuts (Nthn Victoria) Quinces(NSW)Mandarins(Qld)and Persimmons ( Cobram Vic & NSW) are consistently available in their season and complement our main lines. We also stock Beechworth Apple Juice and Organic Water throughout the year. We also handle Grapes and Mangos at different stages of their seasons. We have been distributing Apple Juice in the traditional glass flagons from one of our High Country Growers for some time and connisseurs appreciate the taste and authenticity of this juice which is produced on the farm where the fruit is grown. The Hi Country brand of Apples is extremely popular early in the selling season as it achieves levels of colour and crispness for which Alpine growing areas are reknowned.

It is important to realise that as we source Produce Australia wide, some varieties will have extended selling seasons as they follow the sun from Queensland to Victoria via South Australia.

The development of Stone Fruit orchards has enabled us to extend our selling season for Cherries and Apricots well into March and sometimes early April. Cherries are normally in Stock in early November and carry through January and most of Februarywith Tasmanian Cherries coming to the fore in Jan Feb each year. Apricots are available from late November through to February when Tasmanian and New Zealand fruit becomes available. We have negotiated exclusive Marketing rights for Cherries from Aussie Cherries Ltd which has established a Cherry Orchard of some 72 hectares in the Huon Valley of Tasmania and the young orchard combined with some established trees should see us accessing large,premium fruit in early January 2012 for export and domestic sales.
Intense Tomatos are a recent addition to our product line. They are available in both gourmet and Roma.

Suffice to say we stock this popular line of sub acid Peach and Nectarine cultivars from December through to Feb.

White Flesh Peaches and Nectarines

Our suppliers now grow extensive lines of WhiteFlesh Stonefruit over the course of the season and the consumers palete has adapted quickly to the low acid varieties which are eaten more crisply than traditional fruit. Production levels are increasing rapidly so as to serve export markets in Asia as well as our domestic Market.

Because we source product from all parts of Australia we can offer customers an extensive choice of quality and size and extended seasons of supply.

We've developed our supplier base over the past 60 years in the Melbourne Markets and Westmores have maintained a reputation of Quality Product correctly handled and presented to achieve the best selling outcome for the customer and the supplier.
