We have supply sources from all the over Australia and as our sales expand so does our supply base. Suppliers generally acknowledge our reputation as specialists in Apples, Pears, (Pome) Stone fruit and in particular Cherries and Apricots.

Our "approved" supplier matrix is extensive and 90% of our suppliers have achieved the equivalent of Freshcare or SQF 2000 and provided confirmatory certificates. As a Woolworths "WQA" approved supplier we also ensure that we carry uptodate pesticide test results from our suppliers.

Suppliers who are considering consigning produce to us need to present us with sample product and a supply program together with:

• A completed Grower Information sheet in the form attached to this site (click here to download).
• An executed Horticulture Produce Agreement as required under the provisions of The Mandatory Code (see our Mandatory Code pages).
• A suggested supply program detailing the volumes and product range intended for the Melbourne Market and Westmore's in particular.
• Full details of the "Quality Status" of the supplier with copies of current certificates, (SQF 2000, Freshcare etc) as well as any residue test results undertaken in the previous 11 months on each line they intend to supply.

• We also request suppliers advice as to whether any levies payable are deductible at our end as the first point of sale. If the supplier is paying levies then we request a formal advice to that effect.
• As we have entered into a Fruit Fly compliance arrangement with the Victorian Department of Agriculture we also ask our suppliers to provide the appropriate "fruit fly free" certification when consigning their product. 

With the benefit of this information exchange we can ensure the best marketing structure can be implemented for the produce. Selling opportunities in a market as dynamic as ours range from Retail Shops and Markets, Providores,Exporters and some Wholesale outlets through to the largest of the chain stores and the independents that sit in between.
